Daquan Hargrett set to play for the Mountaineers
Running back Daquan Hargrett, an ESPN 150 Watch List prospect from last year's No. 1-ranked Northwestern squad, has pledged West Virginia, the Charleston Gazette reports.
Clemson, Minnesota, South Florida, Iowa, Florida International and Buffalo have also extended Hargrett offers.
He said, "It seemed the (WVU) coaches were down to earth and genuine. I won't regret the decision. (WVU) is a championship team and I'm a championship player."
Last fall, he carried 117 times for 882 yards (7.5 average) and 12 touchdowns while also catching eight passes for 161 yards and another score
