Parkersburg's Josh Jenkins Heads WVU Recruiting Class
Rich Rodriguez's departure from West Virginia didn't keep Parkersburg offensive lineman Josh Jenkins and Pat White's younger brother Coley from becoming Mountaineers. Jenkins signed his national letter-of-intent today. During an assembly at Parkersburg High, Jenkins wore a Michigan hat to the podium before tossing it toward the stands and replacing it with a WVU hat. He then echoed a comment Bill Stewart made after he was hired at WVU, saying it's a great day to be a Mountaineer. Jenkins is a two-time winner of the Hunt Award as the state's top lineman. Coley White, the brother of Mountaineers quarterback Pat White, also signed with WVU today, but it was a last-minute decision. WVU quarterbacks coach Jeff Mullen was hired only two weeks ago, and the younger White wanted to hear what Mullen had to say first. White threw for 1,442 yards, ran for 945 more and had a hand in 22 touchdowns this season in Daphne, Alabama. He says his older brother was only a minor factor in his college choice.
